Terms of sale

Version of 2 November 2026

In short: you pay for the creation once, then a monthly subscription with no minimum term keeps your website online. You can stop it whenever you like with a simple email; your texts, your photos and your domain name remain yours. This English translation is provided for convenience: the French version prevails.

1. Purpose and scope

This English version is a translation provided for convenience only. The French version is the only authoritative text: in the event of any discrepancy or difference of interpretation, the French version prevails. These terms are governed by French law.

These general terms and conditions of sale (the “Terms”) govern the services provided by Rue Vive: the creation of a showcase website for a shop or a professional business, putting it online, and the hosting and support subscription that keeps it online.

They are intended for professionals (shopkeepers, craftspeople, independent professionals, practitioners, associations) ordering for the purposes of their business. Placing an order constitutes acceptance of the Terms in force on the date of the order, which prevail over any other document issued by the customer.

Rue Vive may amend the Terms: the new version applies to orders placed after its publication, and to a subscription already in progress thirty days after the customer has been informed by email; a customer who does not accept it may cancel before that date. Version of 2 November 2026.

2. The provider

Rue Vive is the trading name of Mathieu Altavilla, Entrepreneur individuel (EI), micro-entreprise, SIRET 13095788900012, APE code 96.09Z, Immatriculé au Registre national des entreprises (RNE) le 2 octobre 2026, whose registered office is at 11 rue Maryse Bastié, 75013 Paris, France. Contact: contact@ruevive.fr, +33 7 69 25 19 82.

3. The demo

Rue Vive may prepare, free of charge and with no commitment on the part of the business, a demonstration of its future website based on information that is public or that the business has provided. The demo is published at an address such as business-name.ruevive.fr, carries a banner identifying it as a demo, is not indexed by search engines and collects no data from its visitors.

The person who received the link to the demo can change it live with Vivi, the Rue Vive assistant, by writing what they want in their own words, up to a limit of 30 changes (a message that changes the site counts as one; a question or an undo counts as none). Each change creates a version of the demo, which can be undone; a link to an unknown website is not added, and Rue Vive may remove any misleading or unlawful content.

If no order is placed, the demo is deleted no later than 30 days after it was created, together with the information used to prepare it and the conversations with Vivi. On simple request to contact@ruevive.fr, it is removed without delay.

4. Placing an order

Orders are placed online from the demo's “put my site online” page, or in writing with Rue Vive. An order becomes binding once payment for the creation has been received and these Terms have been accepted. The customer declares that they are acting for the purposes of their professional activity and that the information they provide is accurate.

5. What the creation includes

A one-page showcase website made up of several sections (home, introduction, services, menu or prices, gallery, opening hours and directions, genuine reviews, contact), designed for both phone and computer; the texts, written from the information provided by the customer; the colours, fonts and layout, chosen from the Rue Vive templates; the basics of search engine optimisation (title, description, structured data); connecting the customer's domain name; the website's legal notice, based on the customer's information; putting the site online.

Before the site goes live, the customer can change the demo live with Vivi (article 3), or have it adjusted (texts, photos, colours, order of sections), within this scope. Anything the customer does not provide does not appear: no opening hours, prices, figures or reviews are ever made up.

The following are not included and are subject to a separate quotation if requested: additional pages or features (online shop, built-in booking or payment, members' area, blog), the design of a logo or visual identity, photo shoots, copywriting beyond the website, social media management. A booking tool the customer already uses can be linked via a button.

6. Prices

Website creation, including putting it online: €490, paid once. Launch offer: €290 for the first 5 customers, while places remain (the number of places left is shown before payment).

Hosting and support subscription: €29 per month, with no minimum term. The first month after the site goes live is included in the creation price; the first subscription payment is taken at the end of that month, then every month on the same date.

VAT not applicable under article 293 B of the French General Tax Code: the prices shown are the prices the customer pays.

A promo code, if the customer has one, is entered on the payment page: the discount and what it covers (the creation, months of subscription) are shown before payment, and then on the invoices.

The applicable price is the one shown at the time of the order. Rue Vive may change the subscription price: the customer is informed by email at least thirty days before it applies, and may cancel before that date.

7. Payment

The creation is paid for when ordering, online by bank card (payment processed by Stripe) or by bank transfer against an invoice. The same payment method is saved for the subscription, which is paid monthly in advance by automatic payment. An invoice is issued for each payment and made available to the customer.

No discount is granted for early payment. Any amount unpaid by its due date automatically incurs late-payment penalties at the interest rate applied by the European Central Bank to its most recent refinancing operation, plus 10 percentage points, and a fixed indemnity for recovery costs of €40 (articles L441-10 and D441-5 of the French Commercial Code).

If a payment fails, Rue Vive notifies the customer and allows them to update their payment method. If the situation is not remedied within 15 days, the subscription ends and the website is suspended (article 11).

8. Going live

As soon as payment is confirmed, the website is put online, without the demo banner, at its Rue Vive address (business-name.ruevive.fr). It is published on the customer's domain name within 2 working days of the day that domain points to the servers specified by Rue Vive, which provides the instructions and checks the configuration.

This period does not start to run until the customer has provided what is needed (their domain's settings or access, the information for their legal notice).

The domain name. A customer who already has one keeps it with their registrar, which renews it, and sets up the records indicated, either alone (guided from their customer area) or with Rue Vive. A customer who does not have one registers it themselves, guided from their customer area, or has Rue Vive register it: the domain is then registered in the customer's name, who is its holder, and Rue Vive manages and renews it at its own expense for as long as the subscription runs. In all cases, the customer remains the holder of their domain name.

9. The hosting and support subscription

The subscription keeps the website online. It includes hosting, the security certificate (https), technical updates, backups of the website's versions, monitoring of the connected domain name, renewal of the domain name registered by Rue Vive for the customer (article 8), the customer area and what it allows: the customer can edit their own texts, opening hours, prices, contact details, photos and legal notice at any time and without limit (published immediately; every version can be restored).

The subscription also includes the changes requested from Vivi, the Rue Vive assistant, in the customer's own words: each month, up to 2 major changes (a section added or removed, a different visual style, a redesign, a request passed on to the Rue Vive team), prepared and then shown to the customer, who publishes them (a request passed on to the team is, in principle, handled within 2 working days), and up to 30 minor changes (a text, a price, a photo, a colour, the content of a section), published immediately and reversible. A message that changes the website counts as one change; a question, an undo or a change rejected by the customer does not count. An unused change does not carry over from one month to the next. Vivi applies what it understands of the request: the customer checks the result, which they can undo or adjust.

It starts when the website goes live and renews automatically every month. First month included in the creation price (article 6). There is no minimum term: the customer can stop it whenever they wish (article 10).

Rue Vive takes reasonable steps to keep the website accessible at all times, relying on professional hosting providers, without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability (maintenance, a provider's outages, attacks).

10. Cancellation

The customer may cancel the subscription at any time, free of charge and without giving a reason, by a simple email to contact@ruevive.fr or from their customer area (https://ruevive.fr/espace). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current month, which has already been paid; no month that has started is refunded. Rue Vive confirms the cancellation by email, stating the end date.

Rue Vive may end the subscription by email with 60 days' notice, or without notice in the event of non-payment that has not been remedied (article 7) or a serious breach by the customer (in particular unlawful content).

11. End of the subscription

When the subscription ends, whatever the reason, the website is taken offline and is no longer served on the customer's domain name, over which the customer retains full control and which they may point elsewhere. A domain registered by Rue Vive for the customer is handed over on simple request (transfer code); Rue Vive stops renewing it.

For 30 days, the customer may request by email the return of their content (texts, photos, logo) in a standard format, or that the website be put back online if they resume the subscription. After that period, the website and its content are deleted, except for invoices and documents that the law requires to be kept.

The Rue Vive templates, layouts and code are not handed over: they remain the property of Rue Vive (article 12).

12. Ownership

The customer remains the owner of their content (texts they provide, photos, logo, brand) and of their domain name. The texts written for their website are assigned to them for use in their business, including after the subscription ends.

Rue Vive remains the owner of its templates, layouts, code and tools; the customer may use them for their website for as long as the subscription runs. Any royalty-free images used remain subject to their licence.

The customer warrants that they hold the rights to the content they provide and indemnifies Rue Vive against any claim relating to it. Unless the customer objects by email, Rue Vive may list the website among its references.

13. Website content and liability

The customer is the publisher of their website: they review the texts before the site goes live, publish their own edits and the changes prepared for them, and the information published (opening hours, prices, services, legal notice) is their responsibility. Rue Vive may refuse or remove any manifestly unlawful content.

Rue Vive is bound by an obligation of means (best endeavours). Its liability is limited to direct and proven damage, up to the amounts paid by the customer over the previous twelve months; it is not liable for indirect losses (turnover, customers), nor for interruptions caused by a technical provider, the customer's registrar or an event of force majeure (article 1218 of the French Civil Code).

14. Personal data

The customer's data (contact, billing) is processed in accordance with the Rue Vive privacy policy (https://ruevive.fr/en/privacy).

Where the customer's website collects data from its visitors (for example a contact message), the customer is the data controller and Rue Vive its processor within the meaning of article 28 of the GDPR. As such, Rue Vive: processes that data only to host it and pass it on to the customer, in accordance with these instructions; ensures its confidentiality; applies appropriate security measures (encrypted exchanges, restricted and protected access); uses only the sub-processors listed in its privacy policy and informs the customer of any change, which the customer may refuse by cancelling; assists the customer in responding to requests from data subjects and in meeting its own obligations; notifies the customer of any breach of that data without undue delay; deletes it when the subscription ends, at the end of the period set out in article 11; makes available to the customer the information needed to demonstrate compliance with these obligations.

15. Right of withdrawal for small businesses approached off-premises

A customer who employs no more than five people, whose main activity is not website creation, and who entered into the contract off-premises (for example following a visit to their shop) has fourteen days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw from it (article L221-3 of the French Consumer Code).

They exercise this right by an unambiguous statement sent to contact@ruevive.fr, for example: “I hereby give notice that I withdraw from the contract for the creation and hosting of the website of [business name], concluded on [date]. [Name, address, date.]” Rue Vive then refunds the amounts received within fourteen days, using the same means of payment.

If the customer has asked for the website to go live before the end of that period, they owe an amount corresponding to the service provided up to their withdrawal; once the website has been created and put online at their express request, with their acknowledgement that they lose this right, the creation can no longer be withdrawn from (articles L221-25 and L221-28 of the French Consumer Code).

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a difficulty, the customer first writes to contact@ruevive.fr to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, a dispute between traders falls within the jurisdiction of the courts for the place of Rue Vive's registered office; in all other cases, of the courts designated by law.

If any clause is held to be void, the other clauses remain in force.
