How much does a business website cost? It all depends on who builds it and what the price covers. Here is ours, what it includes and what it doesn't, and how it compares with the other ways of doing it.

Our price, in two lines
The build is a one-off payment: €490, or €290 for the first 5 customers. It covers your complete website and putting it live on your domain name, within 48 working hours once the domain is pointed at it.
After that, the hosting and support subscription costs €29 a month, with no commitment, first month included. It's what keeps your website online, and one email is enough to cancel it.

What the price includes
If you go ahead after the free demo, here is what the build and then the subscription cover.

What it doesn't include
Some needs go beyond a showcase website. They aren't in the price and are quoted separately, only if you ask: an online shop, booking or payment built into the site, extra pages, a blog, a members' area, logo design, a photo shoot.

Compared with an agency or a do-it-yourself tool
A web agency builds a bespoke site, with as many pages and features as it takes: the right choice for an online shop or a complex project. The price is set by quote, you need to allow for meetings and back-and-forth, and later changes may be billed separately: check the quote.
A do-it-yourself tool mostly costs you time: choosing a template, writing the text, cropping the photos, connecting the domain, then keeping the site up to date. Rue Vive sits in between: a website made for you, seen before you pay, at a price known in advance.

Are there any hidden fees?
No. The build, then the monthly subscription: that's all. Anything not included is quoted separately, and only if you ask for it.
Why a monthly subscription?
A website needs hosting, a domain that's looked after, security and updates. The subscription covers all of that, plus your changes, and there's still no commitment.
What happens if I cancel?
The site stays online until the end of the month you've paid for, then stops. You keep your domain name, and we give you back your words and photos if you want them.
Do I have to pay to see my website?
No. The demo is free with no commitment: you see your website, in your name, before we talk money.
